About NCYCAC
NCYCAC Annual Youth Music Festival is the largest of its kind run by the youth in the United States. Inaugurated in 2010, the NCYCAC Festival is organized every year during the Labor Day weekend. Youth Carnatic artists from across the United States enthusiastically converge in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park area and participate in the Festival. Thus, the Festival enables students from various stages of their musical journey to conference, showcase their talent, have fun, and get inspired to grow further in their pursuit to become musicians.
This year marks the 14th annual NCYCAC Youth Music Festival and our first online concert, which falls on September 2-3, 2023. This year, we are fortunate to host about 100 youth artists and a dozen music schools in concerts in support of a charity to be decided.
Over the past seven years, NCYCAC has provided a platform for more than 200 youth musicians to exhibit their talents in concerts. More than 750 unique members of audience have enjoyed the live concerts. NCYCAC’s livestream will be accessible to several hundred individuals, including those from India and other states who can watch the Festival live online.
NCYCAC uses the Festival to empower youth to give back to the community. Each year, NCYCAC’s Board comprised of youth leaders select a charitable organization and raise funds for a humanitarian cause. This year, NCYCAC and dozens of youth volunteers are raising funds to benefit a charity. Through generous donations, we hope to raise over $20,000 this year for this extraordinary organization.
